I love to read. Here's some of my favorite books. Check them out if it strikes your fancy.
Tourist Season - Carl Hiaasen
I like anything by Hiaasen, but this was his first and probably still my favorite, though not quite as humorous as some of his others.
Lamb - Christopher Moore
A great book that is funny as hell. This is the first book of Christopher Moore's that I read, but they are all equally funny and you can easily fly through the pages.
My Year Of Meats - Ruth Ozeki
This book manages to tackle so many issues from so many different angles, and at the same time it's hard to put it down. Loved it.
Slapstick - Kurt Vonnegut
I'm torn between so many of Vonnegut's books. He had great insights and was truly a great thinker gifted with an equally talented imagination. Slaughterhouse Five, Cat's Cradle, God Bless you Mr. Rosewater, Sirens of Titan, and Welcome to the Monkey House are also good reads.
The World According to Garp - John Irving
Like most of his books, this is a pretty long one and can get slow at parts, but nonetheless has some priceless moments that make you laugh out loud.
The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
I read this before Lord of the Rings, and I still think it has a uniqueness that makes it easy to read and follow without being bogged down too much by the names and lineage of each character.
More to come on this list, I'm sure. Peace out and good night.
